Tips for Year-Round Swimmers

Austin Parks and Recreation has a year-round HEATED pool at Balcones District Park located at the corner of Duval and Amherst just 3/4 mi. west of N. Mopac. Sept.-May it is open for Lap Only Swimming on weekdays only from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 and 5:30-7:30 p.m. and there is a charge. However, if you buy a Swim Pass from PARD, you get in for about half the price.

During the summer, it has regular pool hours and is free for all to enjoy. This is a very large park and has great play equipment for kids and extensive walking trails. It is a 5 minute drive from the condos.
